Announcements

Attention Potential Graduates

If you plan to graduate in May 2010, you must submit a Petition for Graduation to the Registrar's Office, whether or not you will participate in the commencement ceremony.


Potential August 2009 graduates must apply for graduation by April 1 2009.


Potential December 2009 graduates must submit a petition for graduation no later than September 11, 2009.


Potential May 2010 graduates must submit a petition for graduation no later than Monday December 7 2009.

Grading information

Summer grades are due at noon on the dates below:

Full session: Noon on Monday, August 17th.

1st Weekend: Noon on Thursday July 2nd.

1st Six Week Session: Noon on Wednesday, July 8th.

2nd Six Week Session: Noon on Monday, August 17th.

2nd Weekend: Noon on Wednesday August 26th.

Graduation Information

Graduation will take place at the Blue Cross Arena on Saturday, May 8, 2010.

 

Our Mission:

The Registrar’s Office at St. John Fisher College is committed to offering accurate and confidential records, related services to students, faculty, alumni, internal offices and external agencies. Our main focus is on developing and maintaining the processes and procedures necessary for the accurate and timely generation, maintenance, security, storage and retrieval of academic records. The Registrar’s Office conducts its processes and procedures as prescribed by established college policies, FERPA guidelines, and the Professional Practices and Ethical Standards of AACRO.

In support of our mission and the mission of the college, the Registrar’s Office

  • Provides assistance in the development and support of the academic activities of the college
  • Functions as an information clearinghouse for college policies and procedures.
  • Provides consistent interpretation and application of academic policies and their appeal procedures.
  • Coordinates web-based services relating to registration activity, grade recording and reporting.
  • Interfaces with the Office of Information Technology on the implementation of new web-based services to the College community
  • Provides timely action on requests for transcripts, transfer credit evaluations, transfer credit requests, senior audits and other appropriate requests for information.
  • Monitors the progress of students and works with the appropriate faculty committees in the application of the College standards of satisfactory academic progress.
  • Certifies candidates for graduation.
